COLLABORATION WITH OTHER VOLUNTEER GROUPS
1. FISH RESCUE PIPE ON MANLY ROAD CREEK WITH FISH FIRST
2. IN-STREAM FISH HABITAT TOURS WITH FISH FIRST - CEDAR CREEK
Fish First has completed several projects on
Cedar Creek near Amboy in the last two years. These projects used
several different types of stream restoration treatments. They range
from adding spawning gravel behind rock-vanes, root-wads for large
woody debris,
re-establishing the pool-riffle ratio, adding a large juvenile fish
rearing pond, and re-activating disconnected side channels.
Volunteers from FOE have helped in the planning and construction as well as working as tour guides. Tours can be arranged by contacting Gary Loomis with Fish First at 360-225-6516.

Friends of the East Fork has updated it's
web page "lewisriver.org" and has a full time volunteer
computer systems person to maintain it. In addition to East Fork
information and activities, there are several links to other related
sources of interesting information.
