An abundance of recreational activities are available on the East Fork of the Lewis River. Fishing, kayaking, scenic drives, long and short hikes are all a short drive from Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR.

Daybreak Park and the fishing boat launch is a gateway to both upstream and downstream salmon and steelhead fisheries.

Lewisville Park on the East Fork is just north of Battle Ground, provides a wide variety of family recreational activities.

Visit Lucia and Moulton Falls along Lucia Falls Road, take State Hwy 503 north from Battle Ground, WA and turn right on Lucia Falls Road (about 5 ½ miles). After about 5 miles you will see the East Fork of the Lewis River on your right. Stop at Lucia Falls and check out a variety of Northwest trees and view the falls, where fish (salmon, steelhead) can be seen migrating upstream in the early fall.

Continue east on Lucia Falls Road and stop at Moulton Falls, take a walk along the river, keep your eyes open for a Kingfisher flying over the river looking for dinner.

Further upstream are Horseshoe Falls and Sunset Falls.

Efforts to restore the East Fork downstream will allow fish back upstream by removing man made barriers and restoring spawning channels, so, someday, when future generations come to fish, or watch a large steelhead moving upstream to spawn, there will still be fish in the East Fork.
